At Kahibah Sports Club, we’re proud to celebrate the heart of our community — whether it’s through fundraising, live entertainment, or the people who help shape our future. Here’s a look at some exciting news happening around the club.
Men’s Bowlers Donate $1,600 to Cancer Support

Our Men’s Bowling sub-clubs have once again shown the power of community spirit by raising $1,600 for the Mater Calvary Cancer Unit.
The donation came from the much-loved “Wrong Bias Tin” tradition (a gold coin for every wayward bowl), along with contributions from the Travelling Bowlers, Retired Bowlers, and the Men’s Committee.
What might seem like small coins each week has turned into a meaningful contribution that will directly support cancer patients and their families. It’s a fantastic example of how sport, fun, and generosity can come together to make a difference.
A New Stage for Bigger Acts

Over the years, Kahibah Sports Club has welcomed some incredible names to our stage — including Akmal, Jimeoin, and Stephen K. Amos. While the talent was world-class, we knew our facilities didn’t quite match the experience our audience and performers deserved.
That’s why we’re investing in a brand-new stage and green room project. These upgrades will allow us to attract even bigger acts, deliver a polished audience experience, and place Kahibah Sports Club firmly on the map as a leading live entertainment destination in Lake Macquarie.
With some exciting shows already locked in (and a few we can’t reveal just yet 👀), we’re confident the new facilities will set the stage for a thriving live music and comedy scene right here in Kahibah.
Farewell & Welcome: Changing of the Guard

We also want to take a moment to recognise the incredible service of two of our board members:
- Sarah, our Chair for the past six years
- Todd, our Deputy Chair for eight years
Both Sarah and Todd played a vital role in transforming the club from a venue that was struggling for survival into the vibrant community hub it is today. Their leadership, vision, and commitment to members will leave a lasting legacy.
At the same time, we’re excited to welcome Margaret Ingle and Frank Carter to the board. With fresh perspectives and strong community values, they join us at a pivotal time in the club’s journey — and we look forward to the new energy they’ll bring to our future plans.
